Salesforce Expands AI Partnership with Google to Integrate Gemini into Agentforce

New Delhi: Salesforce is deepening its collaboration with Google Cloud by integrating Google’s Gemini AI models into its Agentforce platform. The move aims to provide businesses with more flexibility in deploying AI-powered customer service agents while expanding Salesforce’s availability on Google Cloud’s infrastructure.

Expanding AI Model Choices for Businesses

As companies seek to integrate AI into their operations, Salesforce’s latest move allows its customers to leverage Google’s Gemini models for building AI agents within Agentforce. This partnership expansion ensures businesses are not restricted to a single AI model provider, offering more flexibility in AI adoption.

Google Cloud’s enterprise AI capabilities, including its AI-optimized infrastructure and multi-modal models, will now support Salesforce’s offerings. Gemini’s integration is expected to enhance Agentforce’s ability to process text, images, and audio, making AI-powered customer interactions more responsive and contextually aware.

Salesforce to be Hosted on Google Cloud

Beyond AI, the partnership also makes Salesforce’s core products including Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Customer 360 available on Google Cloud. This shift allows businesses to run Salesforce applications on Google’s infrastructure, benefiting from security features such as encryption, data residency options, and AI-powered risk detection. Customers will also be able to purchase Salesforce services directly through Google Cloud Marketplace, simplifying procurement for enterprises already using Google’s cloud ecosystem.

Real-Time AI Responses Using Google Search

A key feature of this partnership is the integration of Google Search into Agentforce via Vertex AI. This will enable AI agents to reference real-time data from the web, improving contextual accuracy in responses. For instance, businesses in supply chain management can use AI to monitor inventory and track shipments while factoring in real-time conditions like weather disruptions.
