Mumbai: Accenture is expanding its AI workforce and integrating AI agents into business operations as artificial intelligence reshapes job roles. Speaking at the Nasscom Technology & Leadership Forum 2025, Senthil Ramani, Accenture’s Data & AI lead, outlined how AI is driving organizational change and altering professional skill requirements.
AI Reshaping Workforce and Business Operations
With businesses increasingly relying on AI, Accenture has trained over 50,000 professionals worldwide, including a significant number in India, on its Agentic AI platform. The shift from traditional AI models to autonomous systems is pushing AI practitioners to develop new skills in data management, generative AI (GenAI), and large language models (LLMs).
Ramani highlighted that AI is now enabling organizations to “rewire” their operations. He emphasized the importance of integrating AI into daily workflows, stating that businesses need to engage in a “dialogue with data” to ensure AI adoption. Effective data management, he noted, is key to making AI-driven decisions.
AI Refinery to Strengthen AI Integration
To help organizations streamline AI deployment, Accenture introduced the AI Refinery platform. This platform integrates AI agents with existing systems, assisting businesses in developing AI-powered networks across 12 industries. It focuses on automating processes, enhancing data management, and improving AI model efficiency.
The rise of AI-driven systems is transforming job roles. Data engineers are now leveraging GenAI to automate processes, while AI/ML computational scientists are using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for advanced model development. LLM architects are shifting their focus toward building AI agents capable of autonomous decision-making.
