Kolkata: Kolkata-based BirlaNu, the home and building products & services company of the C K Birla group, plans to grow its manufacturing capacities through acquisitions in Eastern India.
The company would invest around Rs 1300 crores over the next three years to double sales in the coming four years. BirlaNu revenues in FY2024 were pegged at Rs 3375 crore.
BirlaNu plans to strengthen its marketing infrastructure and supply chain in construction chemicals, pipes, roofs and interiors.
The Eastern India acquisitions include Crestia Polytech in Patna in the pipes business and the AAC Blocks business of Fsstbuild in Cuttack.
Currently, the company has 30 manufacturing plants in India and two others in Germany and Austria. It has customers and partners in over 80 countries.
BirlaNu operates through contract manufacturers for construction chemicals in Bengal. It plans to set up a manufacturing unit now in the state.
