New Delhi: Ajay Piramal has been reappointed as Chairman (Whole-Time Director) of Piramal Enterprises Limited, with effect from 3 August.
Suhail Nathani and Kunal Bahl have been reappointed as Independent Directors of the company with effect from 14 October this year, and Anjali Bansal with effect from 19 November, subject to the approval of shareholders of the company.
Ajay Piramal is a prominent Indian industrialist and philanthropist, serving as the Chairman of Piramal Group, a global conglomerate with interests in pharmaceuticals, financial services, and real estate, operating across 30 countries.
He holds key positions on several Boards, including Harvard Business School’s Board of Dean’s Advisors and Tata Sons Ltd. He has received numerous awards, including the Honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) and several recognitions for his leadership and philanthropy.
He holds a degree in science from Mumbai University, an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
