New Delhi: CRED has added car valuation and resale tools to its vehicle management feature, Garage, through new partnerships with CARS24 and Spinny. The move is aimed at simplifying how users assess and sell their vehicles digitally, without engaging with offline dealerships or receiving unsolicited calls.
The newly introduced feature enables CRED members to instantly check their car’s market value using data from both CARS24 and Spinny. The valuation is available directly on the app, based on basic vehicle information inputted by the user. If members choose to proceed, they can schedule a free doorstep inspection. Following the inspection, payment is initiated within minutes after the sale is finalised.
According to the company, the feature aims to support over 70 lakh users who already manage their vehicles through the CRED Garage. The tool is intended to function as a digital reference point for resale, allowing users to compare valuations, validate quotes received from offline agents, and avoid underpricing.
A key component of the update is its privacy-first approach. Member information is only shared with resale partners when an inspection is scheduled. Until then, data remains with CRED, and members do not receive promotional messages or calls. Additionally, users are not required to complete extra paperwork. Once an offer is accepted after inspection, resale partners manage the ownership transfer and other logistics.
CRED reports that over 24 lakh members used the Garage feature last year to track pending challans, while 53 lakh received alerts related to pollution certificate expirations. With nearly 37% of members managing more than one vehicle, CRED positions this new update as a continuation of its digital-first approach to responsible vehicle ownership.
CARS24 co-founder and CMO, Gajendra Jangid, noted that the collaboration is designed to streamline the vehicle resale process, especially for users who are transitioning to new vehicles. The company said it aims to offer a transparent and online-first experience for sellers. From CRED’s perspective, the initiative connects the final step in car ownership with the broader ecosystem of digital compliance and documentation. Akshay Aedula from CRED’s product and growth team indicated that the feature is part of a strategy to offer members full lifecycle management of their vehicles.
