Mumbai: LTIMindtree has announced the appointment of Venu Lambu as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), effective immediately. The move comes due to the retirement of Debashis Chatterjee from the role. Chatterjee has stepped down, citing personal reasons, following the company’s Annual General Meeting held on Friday.
Lambu, who was serving as CEO-designate, brings with him a wealth of experience in global IT leadership. Before rejoining LTIMindtree, Lambu served as CEO of Randstad Digital, the $3 billion digital unit of Randstad, where he focused on global digital talent enablement and leveraging India’s Global Capability Centres. He previously worked with LTIMindtree from October 2020 to January 2023, leading global markets and delivering fivefold profitable growth, making it one of the industry’s most successful enterprise value creation stories. Lambu has also held leadership positions at Cognizant, HCL Technologies, and IBM.
Lambu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, and a General Management Certification from London Business School.
