New Delhi: Spyne has appointed Jatin Jain as its new Head of Technology & AI. The move signals the company’s intent to expand its AI-led automotive retail technology across global markets.
Jain, who will report to CEO and Co-Founder Sanjay Varnwal, joins Spyne with over two decades of experience in software engineering, data systems and AI/ML across India and the US. His background includes nearly a decade at Amazon and Instacart, where he worked on high-scale consumer platforms, video quality systems and LLM-powered customer support technologies. This mix of engineering leadership and applied AI experience is expected to support Spyne’s next phase of product and platform development.
At Amazon Prime Video, Jain contributed to computer vision-based systems used to assess video quality at scale. At Instacart, he worked on AI-driven systems for contact centers serving large user and shopper networks. He has also held roles at MobiKwik and the Royal Bank of Scotland, working across digital payments, logistics, SaaS and banking infrastructure.
In his new role, Jain will oversee Spyne’s core AI-driven visual and data platform, cloud infrastructure, and the scaling of its 90-plus engineering and AI workforce. His responsibilities include strengthening the company’s system architecture, advancing its computer vision and generative AI capabilities, and building processes that support the technical demands of a growing international automotive retail operation.
Spyne’s leadership said the appointment comes at a time when the company is expanding its technology footprint in the US and other global markets. Jain noted that the company’s focus on AI and automotive imaging presents an opportunity to build systems aligned with the needs of modern dealerships and digital retail workflows.
The appointment reflects a wider trend of automotive tech platforms consolidating AI and engineering leadership to support scale, reliability and cross-market expansion.
