Apple Partners with Manipal Academy to Launch Education Hub in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Apple has collaborated with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) to launch an education hub in Bengaluru.

The hub, which will begin offering courses in March, is a move to expand Apple’s presence in Bengaluru. Through the initiative, the company aims to expand skill-building and training programs for people across its supply chain in India. In addition, a wider suite of development courses will also be launched at more than 25 Apple supplier facilities throughout the country.

The initiative will first begin at Tata Electronics facilities, wherein the newly designed curriculum will help supplier employees develop skills in digital literacy, swift coding, robotics, automation technology, and smart manufacturing. The launch of these courses is a part of Apple’s $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund.

At present, Apple already offers over 75 courses for supplier employees in India, in collaboration with its partner companies. Going further, the company plans to expand the initiative by introducing more courses in different locations across the country.
