Mumbai, 6 Apr, (CXO Media): LTM has launched an AI training initiative for its employees as companies accelerate investments in workforce AI literacy.
The company said it will provide access to the Universal AI learning program developed by MIT Open Learning, with deployment support from upGrad Enterprise. The initiative is aimed at building foundational understanding of artificial intelligence across both technical and non-technical roles.
The Universal AI program focuses on core concepts such as how AI systems function, the technologies behind them, and the ethical considerations associated with their use. The course includes 16 foundational modules along with domain-specific content and is designed as a self-paced program that does not require coding experience.
Industry observers note that organizations are increasingly prioritizing broad-based AI education as artificial intelligence tools become embedded in routine business operations. Companies are moving beyond specialist training to equip employees across functions such as operations, customer service, and management with working knowledge of AI-driven processes.
Gururaj Deshpande, Chief Delivery Officer at LTM, said workforce readiness has become critical as AI adoption expands across sectors. He highlighted the need for structured learning to ensure effective human oversight in AI-enabled environments. Ronnie Screwvala, Chairperson and Co-Founder of upGrad, said enterprise learning programs are playing a growing role in addressing skill gaps and enabling workforce transformation.
Employees who complete the program will receive certification from MIT Open Learning. Such credential-based programs are becoming more common as enterprises seek standardized approaches to AI capability development and long-term workforce readiness.
