New Delhi: Cybersecurity leaders emphasised the growing influence of artificial intelligence, particularly Agentic AI, on the future of digital defence.
At the RSAC 2025 conference, hosted by Check Point CEO Nadav Zafrir, the panel featured experts from AWS, NVIDIA, Wiz, and Check Point, who highlighted both the promise and challenges of autonomous AI systems capable of making real-time decisions.
Agentic AI, which can operate without direct human oversight, was hailed as a powerful tool for defenders. It enables rapid threat detection and collective intelligence, or “hive knowledge”, to counteract attacks globally. However, experts warned that greater autonomy must be balanced with stronger governance, visibility, and intervention mechanisms.
Despite advances in AI, attackers continue to rely on familiar tactics like phishing and stolen credentials, making it possible to train AI models to prevent these threats at scale.
As AI continues to transform where and how security must be deployed, from cloud and hybrid systems to edge devices, the need for tailored defence strategies grows more urgent.
Panellists agreed on the necessity of industry-wide standards and collaboration to ensure AI is harnessed safely. They called for unified efforts among CISOs, technology partners, and developers to establish clear guardrails and infrastructure that can withstand the microsecond-scale speed of future AI-driven cyber conflicts.
In a world where attackers and defenders both move at machine speed, the panel underscored that the time to modernise cybersecurity frameworks is now.
