Writesonic Rolls Out GEO Platform in India as AI Alters Brand Visibility Landscape

New Delhi: Writesonic has launched a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform in India, as businesses increasingly face challenges in maintaining visibility on AI-driven search platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.

The platform aims to help enterprises, startups, and agencies adapt to how AI tools are reshaping online discovery. As generative AI becomes a primary touchpoint for B2B and consumer research, traditional search engine optimization is losing ground to AI answer generation, prompting companies to rethink their digital presence.

Samanyou Garg, Founder and CEO of Writesonic, said that nearly 89% of B2B buyers now use AI platforms for vendor research, often making decisions before visiting any corporate website. This shift has major implications for how Indian businesses attract and retain leads online. According to Garg, companies that do not appear in AI-generated answers risk being overlooked entirely in the early stages of buyer decision-making.

Unlike conventional analytics tools that focus on dashboards and keyword rankings, the GEO platform claims to offer practical guidance by analyzing prompt-level visibility, identifying citation gaps in AI responses, and suggesting specific actions to improve content, structure, and presence in third-party sources. These third-party mentions, such as on Wikipedia, Reddit, or industry media, reportedly hold higher weight in AI responses than a company’s own website.

The product reflects a broader trend in which AI search models prioritize structured and frequently updated content. Formats such as product comparisons, reviews, and listicles tend to perform better in generative answers. Technical barriers like blocked crawlers or outdated pages can further reduce AI visibility, underscoring the need for constant updates and optimization.
