Bengaluru: Anthropic has announced the appointment of Irina Ghose as Managing Director for India, marking a key step as the company prepares to open its first office in Bengaluru.
Ghose brings over 30 years of experience building and scaling technology businesses. She most recently served as Managing Director of Microsoft India, where she led enterprise AI adoption across sectors such as banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and government. During her tenure, she built high-performing teams, developed strong ecosystem partnerships, and helped organizations adopt future-ready technologies. Her work consistently focused on using technology to create both business value and broader societal impact.
In her new role, Ghose will lead Anthropic’s India strategy and help establish its local presence. The India team will work closely with policymakers and academic institutions, deepen engagement with developers, and build partnerships with enterprises and organizations applying AI to local challenges.
