Mumbai: Tata Communications announced the appointment of Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer–designate.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the board will appoint Ganesh as Managing Director and CEO with effect from April 13, 2026. He will succeed current CEO A.S. Lakshminarayanan, who is set to retire on the same date, the company said.
Ganesh brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across global multinational firms, Indian enterprises, and B2B technology businesses. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Group Vice President for ServiceNow India and the SAARC region, where he led regional growth and market expansion initiatives.
Prior to this, Ganesh headed Airtel Business in India and earlier led the company’s enterprise business unit. Commenting on the appointment, Tata Communications Chairman N.G. Subramaniam said the board was confident the leadership transition would support the company’s long-term growth plans. He highlighted Ganesh’s experience in digital transformation, automation, artificial intelligence, and large enterprise engagements.
Ganesh said he looks forward to building on Tata Communications’ momentum, with a focus on strengthening customer centricity, investing in talent, and executing the company’s strategy with discipline.
