Vertiv Acquires Belgium’s Waylay NV to Expand AI Capabilities in Data Center Infrastructure

TCS Establishes New Subsidiary to Build AI and Data Centres

Mumbai: Vertiv Holdings Co (NYSE: VRT) has acquired Belgium-based Waylay NV, a company specializing in generative AI and hyperautomation software. The acquisition comes at a time when global data center demand is accelerating, driven by the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence workloads, which require resilient, adaptive infrastructure to support high-density computing environments. By integrating Waylay’s technology, Vertiv seeks to enhance its capabilities in real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and energy optimization for power and cooling systems.

Waylay, founded in 2014, has developed a hyperautomation platform designed to analyze machine data in real time, detect operational trends, and recommend predictive actions aimed at reducing downtime and improving efficiency. The platform also enables workflow automation and orchestration across connected assets, enterprise applications, and cloud services, helping organizations cut integration costs and deployment timelines. These capabilities align closely with the growing industry need for infrastructure solutions that combine automation, intelligence, and operational resilience.

The acquisition reflects a broader shift within the digital infrastructure sector as providers respond to the pressures created by AI-driven computing. Companies are increasingly investing in AI-enabled services to manage energy use, optimize system performance, and maintain uptime in demanding operational environments. Vertiv’s move to integrate Waylay’s expertise demonstrates an effort to strengthen its global portfolio and deliver more adaptive and data-driven infrastructure solutions. The development also underlines how automation and AI are becoming central to addressing the challenges faced by modern data centers.
