New Delhi: MakeMyTrip has joined hands with Google Cloud to enhance its AI-driven trip planning platform, Myra, aiming to simplify travel planning and improve personalization for users across India.
The collaboration will integrate Google Cloud’s AI models — including Gemini, Gemma, Imagen, and Veo to help Myra deliver more accurate and context-aware itineraries. The platform will use data from Google Maps, Places API, and Search to recommend destinations, activities, and travel options tailored to individual preferences.
Unlike traditional chatbot-based planners, Myra’s upgraded version is designed to help users discover destinations based on travel moods such as adventure, romance, wellness, or spirituality. It will also provide contextual insights like local weather, cuisine, and commute options, allowing travellers to make informed choices.
A key focus of the partnership is improving accessibility through multimodal and multilingual interfaces. Myra will support trip planning via text, voice, image, and video inputs, offering assistance in multiple Indian languages. Google’s AI tools will also enable the creation of visual trip representations, helping users better visualize their itineraries.
Rajesh Magow, Co-founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, said the initiative aims to simplify complex travel planning through scalable AI solutions. Karan Bajwa, President of Google Cloud Asia Pacific, noted that embedding AI at the core of online travel platforms can help companies respond faster to shifting customer expectations.
