New Delhi, 20 Apr, (CXO Media): Databricks has announced the appointment of Simon Davies as its Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ).
Based in Singapore, Simon will lead Databricks’ business across the region, overseeing strategy, operations, and growth across key markets including Australia & New Zealand, ASEAN, India, Japan, Korea, and the Greater China region.
Simon brings more than 30 years of experience in enterprise technology, data and cloud services. He has held senior leadership roles at SAP, Splunk, Microsoft, Salesforce and Oracle. Most recently, as SAP’s Regional President for Asia Pacific, Simon led strategy, operations, people, sales, services, partners, and profitability across the region.
Prior to SAP, he served as Senior Vice President & General Manager at Splunk, driving significant growth and regional expansion. Simon also advises CEOs and Boards of several high-growth technology companies on their APJ entry and market development strategies, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).
