PNB launches RuPay credit card on UPI for 180 million customers

Mumbai, Apr 23, (CXO Media): Punjab National Bank (PNB) has introduced credit-enabled UPI payments for its 180 million customers.

This was done in conjunction with credit on UPI platform provider Kiwi. PNB has launched the PNB Kiwi Credit Card on the RuPay network.

This card offers fully digital on-boarding, seamless UPI integration and innovative rewards like 0.5% upto 1.5% cashback on online transactions.

PNB has over 10,000 branches with 60% of them in semi-urban and rural regions. The RuPay credit card can help extend formal credit to underserved segments and enhance their financial flexibility.

“As RuPay credit cards gain momentum, our partnership with Kiwi marks a key step in supporting everyday spending needs,” asserts Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director, PNB.

“Together we aim to deliver a secure, flexible and inclusive credit experience that strengthens access to formal credit nationwide,” adds Siddharth Mehta, Co-Founder, Kiwi.
