Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) embarks on financial inclusion with Alankit

New Delhi, Apr 22, (CXO Media): Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has partnered with Alankit Ltd. as its Business Correspondent (BC).

This BC network will help Indian Overseas Bank extend reach beyond physical branches and deepen financial inclusion in different markets.

IOB can offer basic banking facilities through 2600+ BCs across Gujarat (Ahmedabad, Vadodara), Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal), Chandigarh (covering Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu), Uttarakhand (Dehradun), Maharashtra (Mumbai, Nagpur), New Delhi, Rajasthan (Jaipur), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow), Goa (Panaji), Bihar (Patna), Chhattisgarh (Raipur) and Jharkhand (Ranchi).

IOB can now extend deposit, payments and enrolment servicrd in rural and semi-urban areas where setting up a full service branch may not be viable.

“Over the years, we have created a service franework that is reliable, compliant and easy to access, especially in regiond where formal banking structure is still evolving,” claimed Ankit Agarwal, MD, Alankit Ltd.

In addition to IOB, the BC services from Alankit are being leveraged by State Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, UCO Bank, Indian Bank, Union Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Central Bank of India , Bank of Baroda and Uttarakhand Gramin Bank.
