New Delhi, May 14(CXO Media): Tata Motors has appointed D P Nambiar as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective May 29, 2026, in a leadership move that comes as the automaker sharpens focus on workforce planning and business transformation.
Nambiar will move to Tata Motors from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he spent nearly three decades in human resources leadership roles across India, Europe, and North America. His appointment comes at a time when Tata Motors is expanding across electric vehicles, premium mobility, and global operations, making talent strategy increasingly important for the company.
At Tata Motors, Nambiar will lead the company’s HR function and oversee talent management, organisational culture, workforce planning, and leadership development across businesses.
Before this appointment, he served as Vice President and Head of HR for Geographies and Corporate Functions at TCS. He also held positions including Global Head of HR for Service Lines and Director of HR for Continental Europe, based in the Netherlands. He additionally led staffing operations for North America during his tenure.
