New Delhi: Vishak Kumar has been named CEO of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL). Before this, he oversaw the group’s foray into the grocery and food retail industries as CEO of Aditya Birla Retail from 2012 to 2016.
A seasoned executive in the Aditya Birla Group, Kumar most recently served as CEO of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, a significant ABFRL subsidiary that includes brands including Peter England, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen and Allen Solly.
His long-standing contributions to the business and ABFRL’s dedication to elevating internal leaders are reflected in his appointment as CEO of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands.
Since joining the Aditya Birla Group in 1995 as a management trainee, Kumar has advanced through a number of senior positions in retail, marketing, and sales. His capacity to promote brand expansion, operational efficiency, and the expansion of Madura’s brands throughout India has distinguished his term at ABFRL.
He graduated with an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (1989–1993).
