Chennai: Elastic, the Search AI company, has announced a new five-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The agreement aims to support organisations to become AI-native enterprises by simplifying the development of generative AI applications.
Deepening Integration to Accelerate AI Adoption
Building on a history of strong collaboration, Elastic and AWS will deepen their joint investment in technical integrations. These will allow customers to leverage Elastic’s Search AI Platform alongside AWS’s comprehensive suite of cloud services to build intelligent, scalable, and secure applications with enhanced speed and flexibility.
Key highlights of the collaboration include:
- Integration of generative AI features using high-performing foundation models via Amazon Bedrock.
- Streamlined migration of Elasticsearch workloads from on-premise environments to Elastic Cloud on AWS.
- Improved cost efficiencies through Elastic Cloud Serverless on AWS.
- Acceleration of agentic AI applications through collaboration on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-agent interoperability.
- Enhanced support for regulated sectors, including the public sector and financial services, by protecting data at all levels.
This collaboration builds on Elastic’s growing recognition within the AWS Partner Network. In December 2024, Elastic was named the AWS Global Generative AI Infrastructure and Data Partner of the Year and was one of the first 15 AWS software partners to achieve the AWS Generative AI Competency. Additionally, Elastic has been recognized for its work in the public sector, earning AWS competency designations for Government in February 2025 and Education in May 2025.
As AI adoption continues to surge across industries, this partnership positions Elastic and AWS as pivotal enablers of the next generation of intelligent, secure, and scalable enterprise applications.
