New Delhi: Commvault, Kyndryl, and Pure Storage have announced an extended partnership aimed at helping enterprises meet increasingly stringent cyber and data protection regulations. The collaboration focuses on improving recovery capabilities and building regulatory-aligned cyber resilience across hybrid IT environments.
Focus on Regulatory Compliance and Cyber Resilience
The partnership will enable the three companies to offer integrated services that assist organizations in addressing compliance requirements under global regulatory frameworks such as the EU’s DORA, NIS2, PSD2, the NYDFS NYCRR 500 in the United States, and APRA CPS 230 in Australia.
The alliance combines Commvault’s cyber recovery solutions, Kyndryl’s managed IT and recovery services, and Pure Storage’s data infrastructure capabilities, targeting sectors that must align with mandatory operational resilience and data protection protocols.
Key Capabilities of the Joint Offering
The companies are deploying a modular four-layer architecture designed to support faster recovery and secure backup processes in hybrid and multi-cloud environments:
- Cyber Resilient Vault: Stores immutable backup data based on zero-trust principles.
- Clean Recovery Zone: Provides a space for forensic validation and staged recovery.
- Production Rapid Restore: Uses Pure Storage FlashBlade™ and S3 Object Lock for fast dataset recovery.
- Immutable Snapshot Recovery: Enables fast restoration of critical applications using Commvault IntelliSnap® and Pure Storage FlashArray™.
These tools are intended to enable automated, routine testing of cyber recovery strategies, including support for Commvault Cleanroom™ Recovery in both cloud-based and on-premises recovery environments managed by Kyndryl.
