BMW Group India Appoints Ranjeeka Sachdev as CHRO to Drive People-First Transformation

BMW Group India has announced the appointment of Ranjeeka Sachdev as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), marking a significant leadership move aimed at accelerating the company’s people-first transformation journey in India.

With over 23 years of diverse HR experience spanning the automotive, retail, and consumer goods industries, Sachdev brings a future-ready perspective to BMW’s human capital agenda. She will spearhead strategic initiatives across talent acquisition, organisational development, cultural transformation, and more.

A strong advocate of aligning business with evolving workforce trends, Sachdev is known for driving excellence in areas such as Learning & Development, Employee Experience, CSR, Employer Branding, Global Mobility, Succession Planning, and Strategic Business Partnering. Her passion lies in reshaping workplaces through innovation and purpose-led leadership.

Prior to joining BMW, she held senior HR roles at Pernod Ricard, Yamaha Motor India, and Gap Inc., where she led efforts around employee engagement, inclusion, performance enablement, and leadership pipeline development.

At BMW, Sachdev will focus on strengthening the employer brand, cultivating agile talent ecosystems, and embedding a globally aligned, future-focused culture across the organisation. She holds an MBA in Human Resources from the International Management Institute and is a certified coach and mentor.
