Pegasystems, SmartBridge Launch Skilling Initiative to Address Talent Gaps in AI and Automation

New Delhi: Pegasystems has partnered with Hyderabad-based SmartBridge Educational Services to roll out a talent development initiative focused on low-code, AI, and automation skills. The collaboration aims to bridge the digital skill gap across India, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East by equipping university students with practical and certification-based training aligned with industry needs.

As part of the initiative, SmartBridge will offer Pegasystems’ University Academic Program (UAP) in partnership with engineering colleges and universities. The curriculum includes 90 hours of credit-based capstone and practical courses, alongside a 120-hour global certification program. These offerings include qualifications such as Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA), Senior System Architect (PCSSA), and Business Architect (PCBA).

The courses will follow a blended learning format, combining mentor-led sessions, project-based assignments, mock interviews, and App Studio-based exercises. The model is self-funded, with students gaining access to discounted certification vouchers and official training material provided by Pegasystems.

The program is designed to reduce onboarding time for employers by building a pool of job-ready graduates trained on enterprise platforms. According to Pegasystems, this talent pipeline addresses current market challenges where speed, scale, and technical proficiency are essential.

“This collaboration addresses the needs of a market where speed, scale, and skill are non-negotiable,” said Deepak Visweswaraiah, SVP and Managing Director, Pegasystems India.

SmartBridge CEO Amarendar Katkam highlighted that the partnership could create a consistent supply of skilled graduates equipped with globally recognized certifications, meeting the hiring standards of technology employers. Initially targeting institutions in eastern, western, and northern India, the program also plans to expand into emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. This reflects a growing demand for scalable skilling models that can align with evolving enterprise requirements across geographies.
