SentinelOne Acquires Prompt Security to Strengthen Enterprise AI Security Capabilities

Oracle Introduces AI Agents in Fusion Cloud to Streamline HR Operations and Workforce Management

New Delhi: Cybersecurity firm SentinelOne (NYSE: S) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Prompt Security, a company focused on mitigating real-time security risks associated with generative AI (GenAI) and intelligent agents in enterprise environments. The acquisition marks a strategic move to extend SentinelOne’s AI-native Singularity™ Platform capabilities amid growing adoption of AI technologies in the workplace.

Prompt Security’s platform is designed to provide visibility and control over AI tool usage, including identifying which tools employees are using, what data is being shared, and how AI models are responding. Its tools also enable policy-based enforcement to prevent prompt injections, data leakage, and misuse, challenges that are increasingly relevant with the rapid deployment of GenAI in corporate settings.

By integrating Prompt’s capabilities, SentinelOne aims to offer real-time observability and protection across multiple AI applications and environments. This includes model-agnostic support for platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, as well as internal and on-premise large language models (LLMs).

The acquisition highlights a shift in enterprise cybersecurity priorities, where securing AI usage is becoming as critical as protecting endpoints, cloud environments, and user identities. It also signals SentinelOne’s intent to lead in addressing emerging AI-specific threat vectors as part of a broader enterprise security strategy.

Both companies have positioned the deal as a response to operational risks posed by AI technologies, rather than a theoretical concern, emphasizing the need for automated, integrated security solutions at the point of AI interaction.
