Mumbai: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has empanelled Shaurrya Teleservices Pvt. Ltd. as one of the country’s first Digital Connectivity Rating Agencies (DCRAs) to assess the digital readiness of real estate projects. The move is part of TRAI’s initiative to standardise digital infrastructure benchmarks and promote transparency in building connectivity.
As a DCRA, Shaurrya Teleservices will evaluate properties based on fibre readiness, in-building mobile coverage, broadband performance, and IoT integration. Properties will be assigned a star rating following TRAI’s framework introduced in August 2025. The rating system aims to help buyers and tenants identify digitally robust buildings, making connectivity a core utility alongside power and water.
Shaurrya officials said the empanelment would encourage collaboration between developers, telecom operators, and internet service providers to strengthen indoor connectivity. The company also plans to work with associations like CREDAI and NAREDCO to raise awareness about the digital rating system.
Founded in 2021 and based in Mumbai, Shaurrya Teleservices provides digital infrastructure services across six states. Its inclusion in TRAI’s list reflects India’s broader push toward digitally empowered real estate, aligning with national goals for 5G expansion and a more connected urban ecosystem.
