NTT DATA, Fortanix Partner to Offer AI and Post-Quantum Ready Data Security Services

NTT DATA and Fortanix partner to launch Cryptography-as-a-Service, helping enterprises secure data and prepare for post-quantum threats.

New Delhi: NTT DATA has partnered with Fortanix Inc. to help enterprises safeguard sensitive information and prepare for post-quantum cryptography challenges.

The collaboration will primarily focus on highly regulated industries, including financial services, healthcare, government and telecommunications, enabling enterprises worldwide to proactively manage cryptographic risks while maintaining operational continuity in an AI-driven, quantum-ready world.

Under the partnership, NTT DATA will launch Cryptography-as-a-Service as part of its Data Security portfolio. The service integrates Fortanix’s Data Security Manager Platform with NTT DATA’s cybersecurity expertise, AI capabilities and global delivery model.

It enables companies to secure data across AI, cloud and hybrid environments, while supporting crypto-agility, the ability to quickly replace vulnerable encryption with quantum-safe alternatives.

Fortanix’s platform, leveraging Confidential Computing technology, encrypts data while in use, in motion and at rest, providing centralised visibility and policy control for compliance, audits and regulatory reporting. NTT DATA will offer full lifecycle services, from assessing a client’s data security maturity to implementing the platform and delivering ongoing managed services.

“Enterprises face mounting pressure to safeguard sensitive data while navigating AI risks and preparing for the quantum era,” said Sheetal Mehta, Head of Cybersecurity, NTT DATA, Inc. “Our partnership with Fortanix mitigates risks across complex environments and supports innovation while future-proofing cybersecurity strategies.”

Key use cases include multicloud key management, post-quantum readiness, secure AI and machine learning environments, data sovereignty for government and public sectors, hardware security module-as-a-service and data tokenisation.
