New Delhi: NTT DATA and Cisco have announced a strategic collaboration to help enterprises modernise their networks and prepare for the growing demands of artificial intelligence (AI).
The partnership is reinforced by an IDC InfoBrief, Wired for Intelligence: A CIO Guide to Enterprise Networking for AI, co-sponsored by the two companies.
The study emphasises that legacy network systems are no longer sufficient to support the speed, scale and security requirements of AI workloads across industries such as manufacturing, healthcare and financial services.
With 78% of organisations prioritising networking capabilities when choosing GenAI providers, the report highlights network modernisation as the foundation of AI-driven business growth.
“Your network will make or break your AI transformation,” said Chris Barnard, Vice President, IDC. “Modern, intelligent networks are no longer optional; they are critical to turning AI from a challenge into an advantage.”
NTT DATA will support this transformation through a suite of intelligent services, spanning advisory, sourcing, deployment, software-defined infrastructure and managed network services. The company has also introduced AI-powered Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI) services for Cisco products, enabling automation, real-time insights and cost optimisation.
Cisco executives noted that the collaboration will provide clients with both the technology and expertise required to build adaptive, secure, as well as high-performance networks.
