Deepwatch Sets Up Bengaluru GCC to Expand Engineering and Cybersecurity Capabilities

Bengaluru: Cybersecurity firm Deepwatch has opened a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru. The new facility will function as a core engineering and technology hub as the company expands its research and development operations.

The GCC marks Deepwatch’s effort to build a larger presence in India’s cybersecurity and AI engineering ecosystem. The company aims to utilise Bengaluru’s talent pool to strengthen its work in software development, cloud operations, and emerging Agentic AI technologies. According to the company, the centre is structured to speed up platform development and support continuous product updates through round-the-clock development cycles.

Deepwatch Chief Executive Officer John DiLullo said the investment reflects the firm’s focus on developing AI-driven cybersecurity solutions amid rising digital threats. He noted that the Bengaluru hub will support improvements to the company’s security operations platform and enable closer collaboration across global teams.

Prasad Channabasappa, Managing Director of Deepwatch India, said the GCC will help the company expand its threat intelligence and engineering capabilities. He added that India’s cybersecurity workforce offers a strategic advantage as the company scales its managed security services.

The Bengaluru centre will also operate as the firm’s regional base in India. Deepwatch plans to increase hiring over the next year, particularly across engineering, product development, and cloud infrastructure roles. The expansion comes as global cybersecurity firms continue to build India-focused R&D and operations hubs to address rising demand for advanced security solutions.
