Adobe–YouTube Partnership Targets Faster Shorts Production as Short-form Viewing Scales

New Delhi: Adobe and YouTube have entered into a partnership to streamline the creation of short-form videos for YouTube Shorts.

The move comes as short-form viewing continues to expand rapidly on the platform, with YouTube Shorts now generating more than 200 billion daily views worldwide. The companies are positioning the collaboration as a response to creators’ growing need for faster, mobile-first production tools that align with the format and pace of short-form content.

As part of the partnership, Adobe has introduced a dedicated YouTube Shorts creation space within the Premiere mobile app. The new section offers tools designed specifically for vertical video, including preset transitions, effects, titles and templates that meet Shorts’ technical requirements. Creators can edit and publish content directly to YouTube Shorts from the app, reducing production and turnaround time.

Adobe has also expanded editing capabilities in Premiere mobile. Creators can now use an unlimited multi-track timeline, manage layered audio and adjust visual elements such as text, colour and brightness within the app. AI-enabled features, including speech enhancement and generative sound effects, have been added to support cleaner audio and basic sound design.

In parallel, YouTube has updated its Shorts Templates Gallery, providing creators with additional designs that include built-in effects and transitions. These templates can be customised and uploaded directly to Shorts.

The partnership reflects a broader shift toward integrated creation tools as platforms compete to support high-volume short-form publishing while maintaining consistent content quality.
