Accenture Expands Claude AI Rollout as It Strengthens Enterprise Partnership with Anthropic

New Delhi: Accenture has expanded its partnership with Anthropic to train about 30,000 employees on Claude AI, marking a broader push to embed generative AI tools into its operational and client-facing work. The move comes as enterprises increasingly seek practical AI applications in software development, workflow automation and other core functions.

The initiative builds on Accenture’s ongoing collaboration with OpenAI, through which it plans to train hundreds of thousands of IT staff on ChatGPT Enterprise. With Anthropic, Accenture aims to scale the use of Claude Code among its developers to support coding tasks and structured automation. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei noted that the deployment will be among the company’s largest within a global enterprise.

The companies plan to jointly develop AI solutions for regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences and government, where adoption has been slower due to compliance and data-governance requirements. Industry analysts say consulting firms are increasingly expected to offer sector-specific AI tools rather than generic chatbot-based solutions.

The partnership coincides with Accenture’s recent $865 million restructuring to shift resources toward digital and AI-led services. By broadening its work with Anthropic, Accenture aims to strengthen its position in guiding organisations through the operational and regulatory complexities of enterprise-scale AI adoption.
