Mumbai, 15 Apr, (CXO Media): Aditya Birla Capital has launched a mentorship initiative focused on women-led fintech startups. The financial services firm introduced ‘LeadHerShip’, a women-focused incubation and mentorship programme under its existing InFiniTe fintech engagement platform, aimed at supporting early-stage founders in the financial services and fintech space.
Women Leadership Gap In BFSI
The programme comes at a time when women’s participation in startup ecosystems has increased, but leadership representation within the BFSI sector remains limited. The initiative focuses on pairing early-stage women entrepreneurs with senior women leaders from within the company for a structured three-month mentoring cycle. The one-on-one engagements are expected to focus on refining business strategies, addressing operational challenges, and preparing startups for market scale.
Mentorship Model And Startup Engagement
The programme builds on the broader InFiniTe platform, which connects internal business needs with external innovators. According to company data, the platform has engaged more than 200 fintech firms and facilitated about 60 proof-of-concept projects across areas such as digital lending, customer experience, analytics, and risk management. LeadHerShip is positioned as part of the incubation segment within this platform, with a narrower focus on women-led ventures.
Collaboration And Programme Oversight
The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with B-Fair Labs, which will oversee programme design, monitor progress, and track outcomes during the incubation cycle. The company indicated that such structured mentorship models may also help it identify emerging fintech trends and new business models at an early stage, alongside supporting startup development.
