New Delhi, May 15(CXO Media): IndiGo has expanded its BluChip loyalty programme by allowing members to earn reward points on everyday spending, marking a shift beyond flight-only benefits. The airline has partnered with Single.id to introduce card-linked rewards across select dining, retail and lifestyle brands. Under the arrangement, BluChip members can link debit or credit cards through IndiGo’s Single.id platform to automatically earn points on eligible purchases. Participating merchants include McDonald’s (West and South India), Pizza Hut, Wow! Momo, Snitch, Colorbar and Himalaya.
What Changes For IndiGo Flyers
The move brings IndiGo closer to loyalty models used by global airlines, where rewards are tied not only to travel but also to regular consumer spending. Once users complete a one-time card mapping process, eligible purchases at partner brands will generate BluChip points without requiring coupons or redemption codes.
The update comes as airlines increasingly focus on customer retention and non-ticket revenue streams, while expanding loyalty programmes to encourage repeat engagement beyond travel bookings.
