Hansi, May 20, (CXO Media): Haryana has launched the first phase of a proposed Rs 80 crore drone manufacturing and training hub in Hansi.
AITMC Ventures Limited (AVPL International) inaugurated Phase-1 of “Drone City Haryana” at Sisai village in Hansi, a project backed by Rs 58.51 crore in government support under the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020. The facility is being developed under the larger Future Tech Park Haryana initiative and is expected to focus on drone manufacturing, pilot training, testing, research, and skill development.
Spread across nearly 11.5 acres, the project aims to build an integrated ecosystem for drone production, component manufacturing, testing infrastructure, and deployment of drone technologies across sectors including agriculture and defence. The initiative comes at a time when India is pushing domestic drone production under the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat programmes.
According to the company and state officials, the project is expected to create employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for over 800 youth through technical training, manufacturing, and allied drone services.
During the inauguration, Haryana Cabinet Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi said the project could support technology-driven employment and entrepreneurship in the state. The event also saw partnerships signed with companies working in UAV systems, EV manufacturing, battery technologies, and agri-drone applications.
A separate “500 Drone Udhami Scheme” was also launched by the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation to train Scheduled Caste youth in drone piloting, agri-drone operations, and technical skills linked to self-employment.
The foundation stone for Drone City Haryana was laid by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in September 2025, signalling the state’s focus on advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies.
