Bengaluru, 20 Apr, (CXO Media): Snabbit has appointed Abhinav Ankur as chief business officer to drive its business expansion as competition intensifies in India’s app-based home services market.
The appointment comes as the startup seeks to scale operations in the fast-growing on-demand home services segment, which includes cleaning, dishwashing and laundry services. Founded in 2024, Snabbit operates a quick-service model promising professional arrival within 10 minutes of booking, targeting urban households that are increasingly shifting toward app-based service platforms.
Ankur brings experience from consumer internet and logistics companies, including prior leadership roles at OYO and WheelsEye, where he worked on category expansion and operational scaling. His role at Snabbit will focus on strengthening business operations, expanding service reach, and managing growth strategies as the company increases order volumes.
The company’s expansion efforts come at a time when India’s home services sector is witnessing rapid digital adoption. Industry estimates place the overall home services market at about $60 billion, with the online segment projected to grow at an annual rate of roughly 18–22% through 2030.
Snabbit reported a sharp rise in order volumes in recent months, scaling from around 10,000 daily jobs to more than 40,000 and crossing one million cumulative orders in March. However, the space remains highly competitive. Platforms such as Urban Company, through its InstaHelp offering, recorded over one million bookings in March, while Pronto reported more than 500,000 completed bookings during the same period.
