Mumbai, May 22(CXO Media): Rapido has signed an agreement with Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation (MahaIT) to support digital awareness and citizen outreach across the state.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Rapido parent Roppen Transportation Services and MahaIT, will explore ways to use Rapido’s platform and captain network to improve awareness of public digital services in Maharashtra. The collaboration will focus on government-led initiatives including MahaID, Aaple Sarkar and MahaSaarthi.
The partnership comes as state governments increasingly look at private digital platforms to improve access to citizen services, especially in smaller towns and underserved areas. Under the agreement, Rapido may use in-app notifications, banners and communication tools to share government-approved information with users and captains in Maharashtra.
MahaIT said the collaboration will also examine digitally verifiable onboarding and background verification systems for Rapido captains through MahaID integration, aimed at improving transparency and safety.
The two organisations are also exploring a proposed MAHA-Rapido Fellowship Programme to support digital awareness and capacity-building in Tier 3 and Tier 4 markets.
