Mumbai: Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has appointed Tanmay Prusty as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). His appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors. Tanmay succeeds Pragya Bijalwan in this role and will spearhead the company’s brand strategy, consumer engagement, and market expansion initiatives.

With more than 18 years of experience in marketing, brand management, digital transformation, and category management, Tanmay brings a wealth of expertise to Crompton. He has worked with leading companies such as Tata Consumer Products, Amazon, Reckitt Benckiser, and ITC, contributing significantly to brand positioning and business growth.

Prior to joining Crompton, Tanmay was the Business Unit Head at Capital Foods, Tata Consumer Products, where he led the integration of Tata Consumer’s acquisition, managing a business across brands like Ching’s Secret and Smith & Jones. Before Tata Consumer, he served as Vice President and Business Unit Head at OYO, overseeing GMV business across South India. His career also includes key marketing and leadership roles at Amazon, Reckitt Benckiser, and ITC, working on renowned brands like Dettol and Fiama Di Wills.

Tanmay’s experience spans diverse industries, including consumer electronics, personal care, and food & beverages. During his tenure at Tata Consumer Products, he played a key role in shaping iconic brands like Tata Tea Premium, Tata Tea Gold, and Tata Tea Agni. Under his leadership, Tata Tea was recognized as India’s most purposeful FMCG brand by Kantar in 2021.

Tanmay holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from XLRI Jamshedpur.

In his new role, Tanmay is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Crompton’s marketing initiatives, leveraging his expertise in digital strategies and consumer insights. His leadership will play a crucial role in strengthening customer loyalty, enhancing brand communication, and driving innovation in the competitive consumer electrical sector.
