New Delhi: Honeywell and Corvus Robotics are collaborating to automate inventory tracking in warehouses.
As part of this collaboration exercise, Honeywell’s SwiftDecoder barcode-decoding software is being integrated into Corvus Robotics’ self-flying inventory drones.
Subsequently, this solution will be leveraged by warehouses and distribution centers to make inventory tracking more accurate and less time consuming. The whole ecosystem of retailers, distributors and manufacturers, the target users at both case and pallet level.
The CorvusOne Autonomous Inventory Management System boosted with SwiftDecode will navigate, scan, map and count inventory in real time. The drones will operate without GPS, human operators, Wi-Fi or wireless beacons.
The system not only magnifies the level of accuracy but also limits labour resources, opening up other business value additions. It can count the number of individual cartons in a single location and allows for immediate insights into stock levels and case counts.
