Bengaluru: Timbuckdo has launched an innovative payment platform designed specifically for college students and Gen Z consumers.

The QR-enabled payment system àllows the target consumers to unlock a slew of tailor-made exclusive discounts once they scan the QR code at the participating retailers.

The student and Gen Z consumer spending in FY25 has concentrated in FMCG, travel and e-commerce sectors.

As per McKinsey, by 2030, 75 per cent of Indian consumers will be between 15-34, with students aged 18-24 particularly valuable to consumer business.

Timbuckdo developed this platform in partnership with Decentro, whose banking APIs provided it a secure foundation.

“Our technology enables Gen Z consumers to save on everything from their daily coffee to fashion and gadgets, helping them maximize their budgets while fostering brand loyalty,” claims Mythri Kumar, co-founder, Timbuckdo.

This initiative also lays the ground for future offerings, such as insurance and education loans specifically designed for students.
