Srini Raj G, Founder & CEO, Gemini Consulting & Services

In this exclusive conversation with APAC Media and CXO Media, Srini Raj G, Founder & CEO, Gemini Consulting & Services, shares insights into the company’s strategic differentiators, its real-world applications of AI and cloud technologies, and how it is helping clients—from state utilities to education institutions—navigate complex challenges with sustainable, future-ready solutions.

How does Gemini differentiate itself in a competitive consulting and IT services landscape? What’s your unique value proposition?

Gemini began with just a logo and an intention to create something unique. We differentiate ourselves through the breadth of services we offer, our adaptability, and, most importantly, our ability to culturally align with our clients.

For instance, we’ve been a trusted partner to Cornell University for 15 years. They’ve often said we’re not just a vendor—we’re an extension of their New York office. We’ve replicated this cultural integration in all our client relationships, whether in Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, or Bhubaneswar.

We also believe that life is a constant flow of change. We invest continuously in upskilling our employees and foster a strong sense of unity. Whether we fail or succeed, we do it together. That oneness, along with our openness to learning, has been a critical growth driver.

How is Gemini leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and data analytics to solve client challenges?

We’re in a very complex yet exciting time with technologies like AI and Cloud shaping the future. We started exploring AI and machine learning as early as 2018, working with the Israeli government and other clients. Today, we’re deeply invested in AI automation, avatar experiences, and tools like our HR co-pilot, which has revolutionized our internal hiring process. We’ve automated background checks, document collection, and candidate screening—creating an unbiased, time-efficient process. Our focus is on real-world AI applications, including generative and transformative AI. Alongside, our Cloud strategy is strong—we work across AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, Google Cloud, and OpenAI. As a global SAP partner, we also advise clients on leveraging platforms like BW/4HANA and data analytics.

Which industries or sectors have shown the most traction for Gemini’s services, and why? Can you share an example of a successful project?

In the U.S., we primarily work with higher education and healthcare sectors. Globally, we’re active in the utilities space, and in India, we have significant engagements with the government, energy, healthcare, and education sectors.

One project I’m particularly proud of is with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL). We developed a digital solution to monitor and reduce energy distribution losses. The system included modules for patrolling and inspections, available both via web and mobile. Field teams could report issues in real time, and the system seamlessly integrated with RRVPNL’s SAP setup. The outcome was a 15% monthly reduction in power losses. It’s not just a technical success but a contribution to public welfare.

How did Gemini ensure a seamless digital transformation for RRVPNL? What methodology did you follow?

We didn’t have a physical presence in Jaipur, so we deployed teams from other branches. Fortunately, our team was adventurous and ready to take on new ground. We used an agile methodology and emphasized field-level data gathering to build accurate solutions.

Our support centers in Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar handled the development work. It wasn’t a typical desk job; our people were out there, engaging directly with operations. RRVPNL’s own cooperation was a big reason for the project’s success.

Sustainability is a growing concern for businesses worldwide. How does Gemini integrate ESG principles into its operations and client engagements?

Sustainability is central to our digital transformation approach. We help clients reduce waste, improve efficiency, and meet ESG goals. For example, we’re developing digital platforms for city corporations that enhance civic engagement while promoting sustainable urban living.

In the energy space, our integrated solutions connect smart field operations with central systems, enabling real-time tracking and ESG compliance. I believe AI and ML will play an increasingly important role in ESG—automating tasks, improving resource efficiency, and ensuring responsive, planet-friendly practices.

How does Gemini keep pace with the evolving needs of global enterprises?

We’re committed to legacy-to-future services—AI, ML, Cloud, and digital experience platforms. Around 33% of our profits are reinvested into employee upskilling and training. We’re also helping clients make the most of their data, especially in the energy sector. Citizens expect better services, and we help clients deliver that while staying aligned with sustainability and digital transformation goals. We’re making sure our solutions are always mission-critical and future-ready.

What is your future strategy for India, and what are your plans in the region going further?

India is not just a market; it’s a movement. I settled in the U.S., but I travel often, and I’m amazed by India’s growth and digital readiness. Government clients today are asking for highly innovative solutions, even in smaller towns.

We’ve seen strong traction in sectors like e-governance, energy, education, and dairy. We’ve helped modernize supply chains with mobile and web apps. Going forward, we plan to co-invest in these sectors, grow with them, and ensure that our technological expertise contributes meaningfully to India’s development.

What will be Gemini’s top strategic priorities in the next 2–3 years?

As Oprah Winfrey said, “The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.” That’s the philosophy I live by. We want to multiply our growth and become a key global player in the IT space.

Our core focus areas will be cloud computing, AI, and Machine Learning—especially in synergy with SAP and Oracle ecosystems. We are confident and ready to lead in these domains.
