Bengaluru: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the appointment of Bhawna Agarwal as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Managing Director (MD) for its India operations, effective immediately. Bhawna will report directly to Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at HPE.

She steps into the role following the retirement announcement of Som Satsangi, who has been with the company for over 27 years. To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Som will continue to support HPE until the end of July 2025.

Bhawna Agarwal, who joined HPE in 2019, has led the Compute Business Unit and Growth team and, more recently, the Account Management and Industry Verticals for India. With more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning digital start-ups, media organisations, and consumer tech firms, she brings a strong blend of strategic vision and operational expertise to her new role.

Her appointment comes at a time of growing emphasis on the ‘Make in India’ initiative, which she and Som recently highlighted by celebrating the rollout of HPE’s 6001st locally manufactured server alongside Indian IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Bhawna expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating her commitment to building on the foundation laid by her predecessor and driving innovation and growth in the region. She emphasised the importance of collaboration with HPE’s team to achieve new milestones and deliver value to customers and partners.
