SAP Plans to Expand India Presence With Massive 15,000-Seat CoE in Bengaluru

SAP Rolls Out Sovereign Cloud in India to Meet Data Compliance Norms

Bengaluru: The German computer giant SAP reportedly plans to create a new Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru by August of this year. With 15,000 seats, the venue hopes to accommodate the company’s expanding business requirements in India and globally.

Speaking at SAP Sapphire 2025, SAP executive board member Muhammad Alam stated that India is one of the company’s biggest development centres and that a new facility with even more space will be opened later this year.

From the standpoint of product engineering, considering its size, it is a very independent and decoupled environment.

In the second half of the year, perhaps by July or August, the new centre should be operating, according to Manish Prasad, president and managing director of SAP Indian Subcontinent.

This action strengthens India’s crucial position in SAP’s worldwide operations, especially in the areas of engineering and product development.
