LTTS-Tennant Deal to Focus on Sustainable Cleaning Tech for APAC Markets

L&T Semiconductor Tech, IISc sign MoU to set up India’s first 2D Innovation Hub

New Delhi: L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has partnered with the U.S.-based Tennant Company to develop sustainable industrial cleaning technologies through a new Offshore Development Centre (ODC) in India. The partnership is aimed at supporting Tennant’s global innovation roadmap with a focus on emerging markets, particularly the Asia-Pacific region. The ODC will serve as a dedicated engineering facility where LTTS will provide product development, digital transformation, and lifecycle management support for Tennant’s cleaning equipment and technologies. The move comes at a time when demand for energy-efficient and smart cleaning systems is growing across APAC markets due to regulatory and environmental pressures.

According to industry data, the smart cleaning technology market in APAC is projected to grow significantly over the next five years, driven by rising industrial hygiene standards and the adoption of automation in facilities management. The LTTS-Tennant partnership seeks to align with these trends by designing IoT-enabled, energy-efficient solutions tailored for industrial use. LTTS will deploy a scalable team of engineers to support Tennant’s efforts in smart automation, embedded systems integration, and supply chain optimization. The goal is to reduce product development timelines and improve operational efficiencies while aligning with sustainability benchmarks.

The initiative also aligns with LTTS’s broader strategic push into the sustainability segment, where it is expanding its role in engineering and digital support for green technologies. The partnership also underscores India’s growing relevance as a hub for global engineering services in the clean tech space. By housing the ODC in India, Tennant gains access to a talent pool equipped to deliver cost-efficient, research-driven solutions with a regional focus.
