Bengaluru: Consumer tech company Glance has appointed Amit Bansal as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Roposo, its AI-driven commerce platform, as it moves to scale its ambitions in the discovery-led shopping space.
Bansal’s appointment comes at a time when Glance is building out Glance AI, an artificial intelligence-based commerce platform designed to integrate real-time content with product discovery. Unlike traditional e-commerce models that prioritize search and intent, Glance aims to enable users to discover products through content, using generative AI and immersive interfaces.
Glance’s push into AI-powered commerce aligns with a broader industry trend toward merging content, communities, and commerce. This model is increasingly being adopted by startups seeking to differentiate themselves in a saturated digital retail space. With Roposo, Glance is targeting the creator and micro-entrepreneur economy by enabling personalized storefronts powered by visual content and automation.
As SVP & GM, Bansal will be responsible for expanding Roposo’s reach and scaling its ecosystem across user and seller bases. He will also coordinate with broader teams at Glance and parent company InMobi to integrate the platform across global markets and digital touchpoints.
Bansal brings with him over 20 years of experience in digital commerce. At Solv, a B2B commerce platform he founded, he reportedly helped onboard more than 400,000 MSMEs and scaled the platform to $650 million in gross merchandise value. He also held leadership roles at Flipkart, Reliance Retail, and Ezmall.
