New Delhi: Traveltech platform ixigo has tied up with CRED to provide flight booking services for the recently launched CRED IndusInd Bank RuPay credit card. The partnership makes ixigo the exclusive provider of flight inventory and technology within the CRED app, enabling cardholders to book and manage air travel directly through the platform.
The collaboration integrates CRED’s member base with ixigo’s travel solutions, aiming to expand the usage of the new card while strengthening ixigo’s presence in the flight booking segment. Cardholders will be able to use the CRED app to book tickets, track check-ins, receive gate change updates, and monitor baggage details. According to executives from both companies, the arrangement is designed to simplify travel management for frequent as well as occasional flyers.
Ixigo, which was founded in 2007 by Aloke Bajpai and Rajnish Kumar, has steadily built a suite of AI-enabled features to improve the travel experience. These include real-time flight tracking, fare lock options, and AI-driven customer support. Its products, spanning flights, trains, buses, and hotels, served more than 540 million annual active users in FY25, according to company data.
For CRED, the integration comes as part of its strategy to expand utility for its premium membership base and to position the new IndusInd Bank RuPay credit card as a multipurpose travel and lifestyle product. The move reflects a growing trend of fintech and travel platforms joining forces to capture a larger share of digital-first consumers who increasingly rely on apps for both payments and travel planning.
