Mumbai: Lenovo and Nutanix have expanded their collaboration in India to strengthen enterprise cloud and AI infrastructure as demand for digital solutions grows. The announcement came during Nutanix’s annual .NEXT on Tour event in Mumbai.
The companies said their joint focus is on delivering enterprise cloud systems that can support AI workloads, modern applications, and cloud-native environments. Lenovo will manufacture servers at its Pondicherry facility, including models with Neptune Liquid Cooling, which will be integrated with Nutanix software. Among the offerings for Indian enterprises are the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform, ThinkAgile HX systems, and a packaged solution called GPT-in-a-Box. These products are aimed at helping businesses scale AI and manage applications more efficiently while reducing energy consumption.
Industry executives noted that the partnership seeks to address challenges enterprises face in balancing rapid digital adoption with cost and sustainability goals. Lenovo highlighted that its liquid-cooled appliances could reduce power consumption by about 25%, a consideration as companies expand AI operations in India. Nutanix, which specializes in hybrid multi cloud software, emphasized that the collaboration is designed to simplify application management across different environments, a growing concern for Indian enterprises moving toward hybrid IT models.
Separately, the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) said it has adopted Nutanix solutions to modernize its IT systems. The hospital chain shifted from a traditional three-tier architecture to Nutanix infrastructure, enabling centralized management across four locations. KIMS reported improvements in operational efficiency, 100% uptime, and faster setup of digital systems for new hospitals. Its critical applications, including hospital information and radiology systems, now run on the Nutanix platform.
The moves underscore how healthcare and enterprise sectors in India are investing in cloud-ready infrastructure to support digital expansion and AI adoption.
