Bengaluru: NetApp India has named Ranjit Kumar Singh as its new Site HR Leader and Senior Director HRBP. He will oversee human resources leadership and people strategy, focusing on strengthening the company’s India operations while aligning with global talent priorities.
Singh brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across technology and life sciences sectors. Before joining NetApp, he served as Human Resources Director – ISC at Zebra Technologies, where he managed HR strategy, talent development, and compliance for the region. Earlier, at VMware, he was Director HR BP for Asia Pacific & Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, supporting more than 15,000 employees across 15 countries. His work there included driving SaaS transformation and leadership capability building during organizational shifts.
He also held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Solara Active Pharma Sciences, leading a 60-member HR team and overseeing a global headcount of 3,500. His responsibilities included succession planning, leadership engagement, and strengthening HR processes across global offices and Indian manufacturing sites.
Previously, Singh worked at Allergan for over five years, where he headed HR and contributed to global talent management initiatives in Asia-Pacific. His career also includes HR leadership roles at Sapient, Oracle, and GMR Group, focusing on organizational development and performance management.
The appointment underscores NetApp’s focus on consolidating its talent strategy in India, a critical market for its operations and engineering footprint. Singh’s background in managing large regional HR portfolios suggests that NetApp is positioning itself to align workforce planning more closely with business transformation in the region.
