Mumbai: Capgemini has appointed Sanjay Chalke, currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Capgemini in India, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the India Business.
Chalke succeeds Ashwin Yardi, who will retire from executive responsibilities at the end of December 2025 after a successful seven-year tenure as CEO. Yardi will continue his association with the company as the non-executive Chairman of the Board of Capgemini in India.
Chalke has been a key leader at Capgemini, driving multiple transformation programs centered on operational excellence, delivery assurance, talent acquisition, and fostering cross-functional synergies. His efforts have been instrumental in accelerating business growth and enhancing profitability. As COO, he has also been a member of the India Country Board (ICB).
Previously, Chalke served as Executive Vice President and Head of Sogeti India at Capgemini, where he focused on strengthening business performance and talent transformation. Before joining Capgemini, he led the Global SAP Business at DXC Technologies, managing large cross-functional global teams for strategic clients.
This transition marks a significant step in Capgemini’s continued growth journey in India.
