Gurugram: ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (India) has appointed Shikha Gupta as Associate Director, Human Resources. In her new role, she will lead the company’s People & Culture function, with a focus on shaping its people strategy, building an agile workforce, and aligning talent development with the company’s broader digital infrastructure goals.
She brings over 15 years of experience in human resources across the telecom, banking, and technology sectors. Before joining STT GDC India, she spent more than six years at Airtel in senior HR leadership roles. At Airtel, she worked as HR Business Head for the direct-to-consumer vertical, led diversity and inclusion initiatives, and served as National HR Partner for Airtel Business. Her responsibilities ranged from designing HR strategies to implementing employee engagement frameworks and aligning workforce practices with business needs.
Earlier, she worked with ICICI Bank for nearly eight years, taking on roles such as Senior HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Lead for the North Zone, and Learning & Development Manager. She partnered with business leaders to manage workforce strategies for over 8,000 employees while leading recruitment and capability development efforts. Her career also includes early stints at Philips Electronics India Ltd. as a project consultant and at MTS India as a management trainee, where she worked on performance frameworks and internal capability mapping.
She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from MDI Gurgaon. With her new role at STT GDC India, she will be tasked with aligning HR priorities to support the company’s efforts in powering digital infrastructure and addressing workforce demands in a competitive sector.
