Britannia Industries Appoints Rakshit Hargave as CEO

Bengaluru: Britannia Industries has appointed Rakshit Hargave as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and additional Whole-time Director for a five-year term starting December 15, 2025.

Hargave currently serves as CEO of Birla Opus, the paints business of the Aditya Birla Group, and will assume his new role at Britannia after completing his tenure there. The company said the leadership move is part of its effort to strengthen management as it navigates a changing, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) landscape marked by rising competition and evolving consumer preferences.

At Birla Opus, Hargave led the business from inception to scale-up, establishing six integrated manufacturing facilities and building a nationwide distribution and supply-chain network. He joined the Aditya Birla Group in 2021 and has been credited with shaping the company’s entry into the decorative paints segment. Before that, Hargave held senior roles across leading consumer brands, including Beiersdorf, Hindustan Unilever, Kimberly-Clark Lever, Lakmé Lever, and Jubilant FoodWorks. At Jubilant, he played a key role in introducing the Domino’s 30-minute delivery model, which became a hallmark of the brand in India.

An alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University, Hargave also holds a degree in electrical engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi.
